Lucha VaVOOM (LVV) is set to return with their annual two-night Valentine's glam/slam extravaganza on Wednesday, February 8th and Thursday, February 9th at their historic home venue The Mayan Theatre (1038 S Hill St.) in downtown Los Angeles.

The National Society of Arts & Letters Florida East Coast Chapter recently held their ballet competition at Boca Ballet Theatre. The competition showcased the talents of an array of young dancers from South Florida, who were judged by an esteemed panel including Clarence Brooks, Shimon Ito and Colleen Smith.

If downtown Seattle was feeling a little more electric, a little more amped up this afternoon maybe that's because 2800 students from around the northwest got the chance to take in the hottest theatrical commodity. I refer, of course, to 'Hamilton' currently at the Paramount Theatre. But this was so much more than a simple school outing as the students were given an opportunity to really dive into the subject and for some, that meant their own moment to shine.

Pasadena's Stage Door Inc. is greeting 2013 with the 1996 winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Jonathan Larson's renown musical RENT. RENT, inspired by Giacomo Puccini's opera La bohème, tells the story of a handful of New York City's East Village artists and their struggles with life, love, AIDS, and addiction.

Rent opens tonight, January 4th, 2013 and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sunday matinees at 3:00pm, weekends through January 27th, 2013 at Stage Door Inc. Scroll below to meet the cast!
