The Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) has announced the 42nd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards will be held at the legendary Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre (EWGTC) in Toronto on Monday, September 19, 2022.

The 2013 Dora Awards took place in Toronto on Monday June 25th at The St Lawrence Centre for the Arts. To accommodate demand, the Bluma theatre was also opened up for guests and the awards were live-streamed via 'Doratron'. As in previous years, there was a glamorous VIP ceremony pre-show followed by a post show street party that closed down Front Street. A record number of Doras were given out, with Young People's Theatre's CINDERELLA the runaway hit of the evening with seven awards. BWW is thrilled readers photos from the evening.

April 30th Entertainment has announced that seven-time Emmy nominee and "America's Dad" (Growing Pain's) Alan Thicke will be starring as iconic TV personality Jack Bailey in the world premiere of Queen for a Day: the Musical. The 12-performance run begins tonight, September 26, 2012 at the brand new state-of-the-Art Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. Thicke is scheduled to perform in 10 shows only.
