Sabra Jones, Artistic Director of The Mirror Theater, is delighted to be back with a new exciting summer stock season. First a new play by S. E. Endicott called 'Creation' about the first meeting between Albert Einstein and Wilhem Reich to discuss the discovery of a new energy, Argon (July 25th) Followed by 'American Song Book' at Highland Center For the Arts, a medley of past summer stock musicals performed by the Mirror Theater (July 28th.)
Later adapted for the stage by Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1955. A subsequent film version in 1959 received nine Oscar nominations and earned Shelley Winters an Academy Award for her performance. Also of note about this Vermont production, director Jones’s late sister-in-law Susan Strasberg was the original ANNE FRANK when the play debuted on Broadway.
GAAR/The Mirror will present a production of The Diary of Anne Frank at the Hardwick Townhouse, August 20-22.
