However, 'pulp' became synonymous with trashy, back alley reading punctuated with cheap sensationalist thrills, fast-paced plot lines and bad writing. New York Theatre Workshop announced today that Associate Artistic Director Linda S. Chapman will retire at the end of the year following 25 years with the company. Chapman joined the company in 1995 and has served as an instrumental curator, advocate and collaborator.

A Contemporary Theatre and Executive Director Carlo Scandiuzzi and Artistic Director Kurt Beattie are pleased to announce that Colin Chapman has been elected as the new President of the Board of Trustees. Chapman's two-year term of service was approved at the annual meeting on December 12, 2013. Outgoing President Charles Sitkin will now assume the role of Chairman.
