The Imperial Theatre will present a special limited broadcast of From Mozart to Motown this weekend.

???????This February, as the touring production of the world-renowned Disney's The Lion King performs at The Detroit Opera House (Feb.1-26), members of the cast and crew will unite to celebrate Black History Month with a series of outreach initiatives across Metro-Detroit. 

The national tour of THE LION KING returns to kick off the 10th Broadway In Boston season at the Boston Opera House, most fittingly as the musical reopened the venue following its historic renovation in 2004. Some of the effects have diminished over the years, but the opening night audience roared its approval.

Casting has been announced for the Los Angeles return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Los Angeles' most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Hollywood Pantages stage from November 20, 2013 - January 12, 2014. The press opening night is Friday, November 22 at 8pm. The landmark musical will return to Los Angeles for the first time since its triumphant return engagement in November 2006, where the production played a sold-out run at Hollywood Pantages.

Goodspeed Musicals' production of 'Big River' and its director Rob Ruggiero are big winners of the 19th annual Connecticut Critics Circle awards, announced June 15. The show received nods for best musical, for Russell Joel Brown who played Big Jim as best actor in a musical, for Michael Schweikardt's sets, and for Ruggiero's direction.
