The New School announced today that Jermaine Hill has been appointed Dean of the School of Drama at the College of Performing Arts. Currently, Jermaine serves as Interim Dean of Theater at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

The New School's College of Performing Arts (Mannes, Jazz, Drama) today announced a new master's degree for creative musicians, the MM: Performer-Composer. Designed as an alternative to traditional music degrees that are highly specific to genre or category, this new program supports multi-disciplinary artists in all styles and genres of music-making.

The Philip Glass Institute (PGI) will launch with a performance by the Philip Glass Ensemble and a panel discussion with Philip Glass, Lisa Bielawa, the inaugural Composer-in-Residence and Chief Curator of the PGI, and Richard Kessler, Executive Dean of the College of Performing Arts, on January 6, 2019 at 4:30 pm, at The New School's Tishman Auditorium.
