New Jersey Theatre Alliance and East Lynne Theater Company (ELTC) present a staged reading of the classic romantic comedy THE GUARDSMAN AND THE ACTRESS by Ferenc Molnar, adapted by Mark Edward Lang.

On Friday, August 27 at 8:30p.m., there will be an American Sign Language Interpretation of 'The Dictator,' produced by the Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company. Over sixty-five years before Woody Allen's film, 'Bananas,' there was Richard Harding Davis's comedy about a country in Central America where you never knew who is in charge - and whether or not you'd live until lunchtime. I'm the kingmaker, the Warwick, the man behind the throne. Pedro Rivas can be President, but Colonel John T. Bowie is boss.'

The Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company, the recent recipient of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance's Achievement of Excellence Award for '30 years of celebrating America's heritage through productions and educational programs,' has its usual season filled with music, a radio show, classic gems and a world premiere. To celebrate ELTC's 30th birthday, the shows are a blend of old favorites and new discoveries.

The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company will be auditioning in Cape May on Friday, April 23, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The call will be at the theater's venue, The First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes St., Cape May, NJ. Sign-up for this audition day begins at 10:00 AM and continues through 6:55 PM, with a meal-break from 2:30-3:30 PM. Non-union actors will be seen as long as no Equity actors are kept waiting.
