As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, stage and screen star, Patricia Morison died at the age of 103 at home in Los Angeles of natural causes. A stage icon and legend best known for her starring roles in Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate and The King & I opposite Yul Brynner, she established an indelible mark in films with a reputation as a the villainous femme fatale with large blue eyes and extremely long, dark hair that made her a favorite of studios and fans alike. 

VACNJ TO HOST Color Wheels & Cupcakes: Art Center Open House

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey will host Color Wheels & Cupcakes, an open house event on Saturday, April 14, from 11 AM–2 PM at 68 Elm Street in Summit. The event will feature activities for art enthusiasts of all ages, including Patricia Morris's bobbin-lacemaking demonstration for adults, a painting project for children grades K–5, and a jewelry project for teens. Complementary cupcakes will be provided by Gigi's Cupcakes, of Summit and Maplewood.
