YOLO! Productions is proud to be bringing 'Til Sunday to Miami's GableStage for a one night only performance on Monday, June 18th. 'Til Sunday performed at the 2017 Hollywood Fringe festival where it was nominated for best solo show and most recently was the closing act at the 25th Anniversary of the Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival. Written by Nairoby Otero and directed by Michael D'Angora, 'Til Sunday is a one woman show that tackles what is means to be Cuban, what it means to be an immigrant, and ultimately, what it means to be American.
In her 'TIL SUNDAY, writer/performer Nairoby Otero grabs you the very first moment she hits the stage and then, after 75 minutes, ends her solo show with a wrenching punch in the gut. Otero portrays a number of characters in this one-woman tour de force revealing the story of the real-life struggles of a Cuban mother who ventures to New Orleans to provide a better life for her little girl.
YOLO! Productions is proud to be bringing a revival of 'Til Sunday to the Eighth Annual Hollywood Fringe Festival. Starring the show's writer, Nairoby Otero and directed by Michael D'Angora, 'Til Sunday will begin performances at The LGBT Center the first week of June.

The initial set-up for Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph's 'Animals Out of Paper' at first seems contrived: Ilana Andrews, a down-on-her-luck origami artist who has hit a wall both creatively and personally, finds her life shaken up when a nerdy, overly optimistic math teacher asks her to mentor his brilliant-yet-troubled student. As directed by Merri Milwe, however, the circumstances in YOLO! Productions and The Great Griffon's production of the play feel entirely genuine. This depth of feeling comes in part from Joseph's smart playwriting and also from the three talented actors who take the text from two-dimensional paper to three-dimensional staging. As the play unfolds (pun intended), we see the rawness and honesty underneath the initial scenario that sets the plot in motion.
