Beck Center for the Arts opens the first play in the Studio Theater of the 85th Season with Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Written by three time Tony Award Winner Edward Albee, this American masterpiece gives life to one of the theater's most memorable couples. Greater Cleveland is blessed with a vital theater scene. It has been the purpose of the TIMES THEATER TRIBUTES, now known as BROADWAY WORLD-CLEVELAND REGIONAL PROFESSIONAL THEATER TRIBUTES (BWW-Cle Theater Tributes), to recognize theatrical experiences that, in the subjective view of this reviewer, were excellent and deserve recognition.

Historically, Langston Hughes, Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee were proud area playwrights. Probably no local scribe has been more prolific than Eric Coble.
