Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America's longest-running little theater companies, will open its first mainstage production of the new year with a comedic retelling of Jane Austen's great romantic tale PRIDE AND PREJUDICE.

Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 86th season with Veronica's Room, written by Ira Levin and directed by Ellyn Essig. Veronica's Room runs February 16th through March 9th, with curtain at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on Sundays. All performances will take place at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell. BCP's popular Questions & Artists talkback session will be held following the performance on Friday, January 18th. Religious tolerance gets an intra-ethnic twist in the Bergen County Players production of "The Last Night of Ballyhoo." Written by playwright Alfred Uhry, of "Driving Miss Daisy" fame, Ballyhoo won the 1997 Tony Award for best play. This production, directed by Carol Fisher, starts its run on Saturday, October 22, ending on Saturday, November 12. Curtain goes up for Friday and Saturday performances at 8 pm, with Sunday matinees at 2 pm. It will be presented at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell.

The Players Guild of Leonia presents two comedies by Christopher Durang and directed by Carol Fisher - Miss Witherspoon and The Actor's Nightmare. In these earlier plays by this 2013 Tony award winning playwright, (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), the humor in life is on full display.
