The Players Guild of Leonia presents two comedies by Christopher Durang and directed by Carol Fisher - Miss Witherspoon and The Actor's Nightmare. In these earlier plays by this 2013 Tony award winning playwright, (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), the humor in life is on full display.

The first play was a runner-up for the Pulitzer Prize and is a zany comedy about a woman who commits suicide but the finds the afterlife involves reincarnation and returning to Earth something she's determined not to do. The second short comic play involves an accountant who is mistaken for an actor's understudy and forced to perform in a play for which he doesn't know any of the lines. The other actors are forced to improvise and the result is pure humor that can only be brought to you from the mind of Christopher Durang. Presented March 21st thru April 6th. Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 3pm. 201-947-9606/www.leoniaplayers.org for reservations and information.

*Contains some adult humor and subject matter.

Cast: "Miss Witherspoon" - Joanne Guarnaccia, Anu Gurnani, Will Nolan, Sharon Podsada, Jenny P. Scott; "The Actor's Nightmare" - Nicole Lopez-Isa, Mic McCormack, Christopher Milone, Rosemary Page, Cheryl Woertz.
