OK, so you don’t go to see CINDERELLA for the plot. What you do want to see is all of the gorgeous costumes, the brilliant set and the dancing to an incredible score. If you pick the right performance, you also get the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra playing live as the dancers move on stage. It all comes together in quite a magical moment.

International Guest Artists Vadim Muntagirov, Principal of The Royal Ballet, and Tatiana Melnik, Principal of the Hungarian National Ballet, will perform in Cape Town City Ballet's spectacular production of Veronica Paeper's CINDERELLA for three performances only, accompanied by Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO).

Rising young stars of the Cape Town City Ballet are set to take centre stage in the classic and comic ballet, COPPELIA, at Artscape in Cape Town. Based on the well-known tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann, this sparkling production of the beloved ballet has a short run at the end of May.

Cape Town City Ballet's very popular annual outdoor-ballet season opens in the Maynardville Park on Sunday 24 January with NIGHT & DAY.

Cape Town City Ballet's smash hit production, NIGHT & DAY, returns to the Artscape Theatre this festive season from 31 December 2015 to 10 January 2016. With a special opening night performance scheduled for New Year's eve, the sparkling ballet celebrates the extraordinary life and music of Cole Porter, one of the 20th century's most prolific and successful song writers.

Opening on Sunday 1 February, the Cape Town City Ballet's much anticipated annual season at Maynardville Park will feature four performances of the enchanting ballet, LA SYLPHIDE. In a major scoop for Cape Town City Ballet, the company's Executive Director, Prof Elizabeth Triegaardt, has announced that two international stars from The Royal Ballet in Covent Garden, London will perform in their upcoming production of The Sleeping Beauty at Artscape from 10 -18 August.
