Celebrating its 10th birthday this summer, Guildford Fringe Festival returns from 24 June until 15 July 2023 with a packed programme of theatre, comedy, poetry, music, visual arts, family-friendly shows, talks and free events – and a few special surprises in store! 

Assembly Festival, one of Edinburgh's leading Festival Fringe venues, has announced over 100 shows for its 2023 programme. The festival, which is housed year-round at Assembly Roxy, is returning to its familiar venues at Assembly Rooms, Assembly Hall, Assembly George Square and Gardens, and Assembly Checkpoint.

Lakeshore Records will release the TUSCALOOSA Original Motion Picture Soundtrack with original music by Joshua Mosley and Matt Hutchinson. The 21-track album is available digitally via all major platforms on April 10.

On 1 April,  you can vote for seven exciting new comedians onstage in the plush Variety Viewing Room at Soho's upmarket rock'n'roll Sanctum Hotel which makes this the coolest comedy night in town.

On March 5, you can vote for 12 exciting new comedians Edinburgh's Megan Shandley, Hurt & Anderson, Conor Drum, Morgan Ress, Matt Hutchinson, Ali Woods, Kevin O'Connell, Tommy Ettling, Janet Bettesworth, Benji Waterstones, Sam Lake and Lucas Jolson, onstage at Kings X's iconic WaterRats music/comedy venue, which launched Oasis in London and Bob Dylan in the UK.

Richard Adams' best-selling novel Watership Down is opening shortly at the picturesque Watermill Theatre; not far away from the location that inspired the well-loved story. Towards the end of the rehearsal period, BWW:UK speaks to James Backway who is playing Hazel in this stage adaptation. He was mostly recently seen in War Horse in the West End where he played Albert until the production closed.

Matt Hutchinson and Grace Emily Manning are the first young talents to receive the inaugural Sally Goldsworthy Bursary, in memory of the pioneering creative force and CEO of DISCOVER CHILDREN'S STORY CENTRE, who died last year.

The Watermill Theatre today announces the full company for its brand new production of Watership Down, based on the worldwide bestselling novel by Richard Adams and adapted by award-winning playwright, Rona Munro.

Daniel Evans today announces his final season as Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director, including the eagerly anticipated news of the Crucible's Christmas show, Irving Berlin's whip-cracking musical Annie Get Your Gun. The season also includes two world premieres on the Crucible stage - an adaptation of a classic novel and an exciting new musical set in Sheffield. A poignant moment in the city's history is told on the Studio stage along with a heart-warming family tale for the festive period.

The Action for Children's Arts J.M. Barrie Award is given annually to a children's arts practitioner or organisation whose work, in the view of the ACA, will stand the test of time.
