After 44 years of leading The Town Hall as its Executive Director, Lawrence Zucker will be stepping down from his leadership role at the end of the calendar year.

NY1 Anchor Roma Torre hosted the free concert event Spotlight on Town Hall last night, March 28, which also featured a special performance from Smash star and Tony-nominee Jeremy Jordan. Also included were performances from the Broadway productions of Chicago and The Phantom of the Opera, Off-Broadway's Avenue Q, The New York City Gay Men's Chorus and The Town Hall Broadway's Rising Stars Chorus. To commemorate the Department of the Interior's recent designation of The Town Hall as a National Historic Landmark Site and to celebrate its newly elected President and CEO Michael Presser, on Thursday, March 28 at 6pm, The Trustees of The Town Hall Foundation will honor the 92 year old New York City landmark by presenting a free concert event, Spotlight on Town Hall, which will showcase the vibrant New York City performing arts scene.

The concert starred Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award nominee Liz Callaway, Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk, Theatre world and Emmy Award winner Tovah Feldshuh, legendary Jazz guitarist and banjoist Bucky Pizzarelli and Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner. Dancers/choreographers Jeffry Denman ('White Christmas,' 'Yank!') and Noah Racey ('Curtains') danced together. Scott Siegel, creator/writer and host of The Town Hall's acclaimed Broadway By The Year series, has written and will host the evening.
