Shakespeare's KING LEAR Ends Theatre And Dance At Wayne 2017-2018 Season


A freshly staged production of "King Lear" will wrap up the 2017-2018 season at the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a department within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts, at Wayne State University. Running April 27 through May 13, this Shakespeare classic will play at the historic Hilberry Theatre located on the Wayne State University Campus.

Meadow Brook Theatre Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 11/15-12/22


The familiar story of Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the ghosts that change a life is a holiday favorite and annual tradition for scores of families in the area. "'A Christmas Carol' is our gift to southeast Michigan," said Cheryl Marshall, MBT managing director. "People come back year after year. Maybe they saw it 20 years ago with a school group and now want to share it with their children. It's a magical event."

Performance Network's RED Extended thru June 3


In response to demand for tickets, Performance Network Theatre is extending the critically acclaimed drama, "Red," for one week only. Written by John Logan, "Red" will now run through Sunday, June 3, at which time it must close to make way for the summer comedy, "In the Next Room or the vibrator play." "Red" is directed by Carla Milarch and stars Mark Rademacher and Kevin Young.
