Early Music Vancouver (EMV) has announced the dates for this year's summer festival along with a  new name. The 2023 Early Music Vancouver Summer Festival (previously named Vancouver Bach Festival) will take place  July 27 to August 5 at various venues including SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, Christ Church Cathedral, Pyatt Hall, The Orpheum Annex, West Vancouver United Church, and St. James Community Square. 

On February 15th, Bated Breath Theatre Company will celebrate the 100th performance of their acclaimed immersive, environmental production UNMAKING TOULOUSE-LAUTREC, selected as one of the 11 'best immersive plays and interactive theatrical experiences on Broadway and beyond' by Time Out. Performances continue through March 6, 2020 at Madame X in Manhattan's historic Greenwich Village, where it began performances in May 2019.

Bated Breath Theatre Company will amp up the romance at a special Valentine's Day edition their acclaimed immersive, environmental production UNMAKING TOULOUSE-LAUTREC.

The No Name Collective kicks off it's 2020 season with William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure. Directed by Michael Fleischer, this production opens for a 2 week run at The PIT Loft at The Peoples Improv Theater.

Audiences attending the 6:30pm performance are invited to come at 5pm for some complimentary birthday cake and wine at Madame X in Manhattan's historic Greenwich Village (where Madonna recently celebrated her birthday).

No Name Collective presents Shakespeare's classic The Tempest as their 2019 summer production. Co-Directed by Tessa Barlow-Ochshorn and Allison Houser, this production opens for a two week run on August 1st at the Gallery Space at Access Theatre.

Written by Solnik, directed by Nikki Reed and presented by Executive Artistic Director Crystal Fields, "Birds of Paradise" is being performed in the East Village for a very limited run. With opening night this past Thursday and running only through July 14th, this show is definitely one I recommend seeing. With a rather clever plot that is as touching as it is on the constant brink of drama, "Birds of Paradise" is now one of my favorite of Solnik's productions.

Marisa Gold grew up quite a distance from the Great Depression, which might as well have been not just another time, but another world. Still, she heard stories of what life was like back then.

Just as our nation celebrates its birthday on July 4, Birds of Paradise opens at Theater for the New City, telling a story of an American family during the Great Depression.
