Westchester Broadway Theatre presents Guys and Dolls, with Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser and Book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. This production is directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford with musical director Jihwan Kim and runs April 11- June 6, 2013, with a press opening set for April 18, 2013. Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe may be best known for MY FAIR LADY, their 1956 musical adaptation of Pygmalion. The show was an incredible success and left anticipation high for another Lerner & Loewe musical. After tumultuous writing, casting, and rehearsing processes their follow up opened on Broadway in 1960. The musical, simply titled CAMELOT, was based on T. H. White's The Once and Future King. It opened to mixed reviews, but the Original Cast Album LP was America's best selling LP for a solid 60 weeks. After the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, it was publicized that the original cast recording had been a favorite of the Kennedy family in while in the White House, forever tying Lerner & Loewe's CAMELOT to the glamorous, media culture Camelot era of the Kennedy family.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) presents Camelot, running Jan. 22 - Feb. 3, 2013 at Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Set in a land where honor and chivalry reign, Camelot follows the love triangle of King Arthur, his Queen Guenevere and the young Lancelot. Kicking off 2013 at The Hobby Center, Theatre Under the Stars is presenting two classic musicals back to back. First TUTS is offering a star-studded production of CAMELOT followed by MAN OF LA MANCHA. Irish Repertory Theatre and Gingold Theatrical Group are joining forces to present a co-production of Shaw's masterpiece, MAN AND SUPERMAN performed at the award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street), as part of Irish Rep's 24th Season and GTG's first-ever 'Shaw New York' festival, with previews to begin tonight, April 26, prior to an official press opening May 6. GTG's artistic director, David Staller, will direct his adaptation of this remarkable comedy, performed with its rarely seen 'interior play' DON JUAN IN HELL.
