The tenth season of New York Theatre Barn's New Works Series launches on Monday, February 27, 2017 at The Cell with pre-premieres of two new musicals: For Tonight and The Brontes.

DO'S & DON'TS: life lessons from the NMT songbook M3 Productions brings you a unique selection of New Musical Theatre songs from composers like Drew Fornarola, Drew Gasparini, Goldrich & Heisler, and Kerrigan & Lowdermilk, featuring a diverse cast that includes Sacha Iskra, Luis Manzi, Troy Pepicelli, Daniel Plimpton, Lori Lusted, Robbie Simpson, Lyndsi Skewes and more. Hosted by Meghan Lynn Allen, this 90 minute performance will school you through song on the do's and don'ts of dating, college, performing, family, and friendship. Tickets are on sale now for Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story - when it comes to E.J. Thomas Hall, January 12-13, as part of the 2015-2016 Broadway in Akron series. The show that inspired a generation of multi-million selling juke-box musicals - including Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia, Million Dollar Quartet, and We Will Rock You - starts a 9 week tour of the USA on Monday, January 4th, 2016.

Penny Jackson's dark comedy I KNOW WHAT BOYS WANT, now playing at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street, NYC, will host a talk-back about cyber bullying following the 3 PM Sunday matinee on July 26th lead by Nicholas Carlisle, the founder of No Bully, an evidence-based program that leverages student empathy to stop bullying and cyber bullying.  The No Bully System has created bully-free campuses for over 120,000 students.

Ego Actus will present the World Premiere of Penny Jackson's dark comedy I KNOW WHAT BOYS WANT at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street, NYC, beginning performances on July 16th, opening July 18th at 8 PM and continuing through August 2nd. The Equity production will be directed by Joan Kane with scene design by David Goldstein, costumes by Caitlin Cisek, lights by Dennis Parichy, sound by Andy Evan Cohen, projections by Jim Marlow. The Stage Manager is Tyler Winthrop.

With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, this epic musical is directed by Mark Harborth (Rent, Dreamgirls), choreographed by Elyse Daye Hart (Dreamgirls, A Little Night Music), with music direction by Emily Croome. Carman Napier (Next to Normal) fills the title role of the Argentinian legend, with Dale Sampson (Rent) as Che, and Jonathan Mesisca making his Gallery debut as Juan Peron. EVITA opens this evening, April 25th at 8pm and runs through Sunday, May 17th, 2015.

Matthew Martin, who co-wrote the popular, Broadway-aimed musical Ghostlight with Tim Realbuto will duet with his co-writer Tim's upcoming Maury Yeston tribute concert, Realbuto announced this morning. The two best friends will duet on Yeston's Love Can't Happen from 'Grand Hotel.'

Nikki Blonsky, who was originally scheduled to perform in Tim Realbuto's Bookseller in the Rain Maury Yeston tribute concert, had to withdraw from the production due to a severe flu that has left her on bed rest with extremely strict orders from her doctors.

American Idol's Eric Anthony Lopez completes the principal list of special guest stars for Tim Realbuto's Bookseller in the Rain, a tribute to the music of legendary composer Maury Yeston. Mr. Lopez joins previously announced Golden Globe nominee Nikki Blonsky (Hairspray), Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change),Mara Davi ('Smash'), Jenna Leigh Green ('Sabrina, the Teenage Witch'), Joshua Colley (Les Miserables), Christine Dwyer (Wicked), Ovation Award nominee Erika Amato (Flashdance), Kimberly Faye Greenberg (Danny and Sylvia), Abigail Ludrof (The HVAC Plays), and Emily Esposito (A Christmas Story). SWINGTIME CANTEEN, a musical by Linda Thorsen Bond, William Repicci, and Charles Busch, will open July 4th for a limited run at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre. This five woman musical takes place on stage at a concert for the Eighth U.S. Air Force in 1944 and pays tribute to the USO and all of the wonderful vintage classics from that time. SWINGTIME CANTEEN plans to assist service members who have been injured in the line of duty. Some proceeds from the show will be donated to the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), and will support a full range of programs and services for this generation of injured veterans and their families.

Sierra Repertory Theatre opens its 2014 season this March with the epic Les Miserables.
