Kirk Bixby BIO
Kirk is a New York City based performer, creator, and long time specialist in children’s entertainment. He is a proud member of Actors Equity Association, and is currently starring in the National tour of Mr. Popper's Penguins as Mr. Popper.
Kirk originated the puppeteer role of 'Mr. Conductor' on the first national tour of Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train Live! , and was the official voice and performer for 'Scooby Doo' on the international tour of Warner Bros. Scooby Doo - Mystery of the Pyramid. Other credits: Fiddler on the Roof National Tour - Bottle Dancer/Son (Troika Entertainment), West Side Story - Action, Pinocchio - Pinocchio (Arizona Broadway Theatre), Thoroughly Modern Millie - Jimmy (Surflight Theatre), Between Movement Contemporary Dance Company - Soloist.
Kirk is the Co-Founder of 4PuppetPeople, a new NYC based puppetry production company. He is an active member of the Wildlife Conservation Society education department, as well as Candlelighters NYC. You may also spot Kirk moonlighting as a circus artist and collector of all things Donald Duck.
