Today and tomorrow's performances of Broadway's smash hit Moulin Rouge! The Musical have been cancelled. An Instagram story post from the show's official account broke the news. The notice reads, 'Due to positive COVID cases in the company, performances today and tomorrow of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway are cancelled.'

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical will commemorate its 500th Broadway performance on Saturday evening, Mat 7th by partnering with the New York City Department of Education to distribute 500 tickets to NYC area schools. Students will get to experience the production at various performances over the next year.

The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) selected 62 finalists from tens of thousands of students to compete for the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress, earlier this summer at the Minskoff Theatre. Hosted by the Tony Award-nominated stars of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana, the fifth annual performance showcase featured dynamic ensemble and solo performances exclusively from the musical theater cannon. Yesterday at a press conference in front of Broadway's St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street), Broadway Impact co-founder Rory O'Malley (2011 Tony Award® nominee) announced that several same-sex couples from the Broadway community will get married onstage at the St. James Theatre on July 25 immediately following that evening's performance of HAIR. These unions will be among the very first in New York State, following the landmark bill recently passed by state legislators.
