I attended last week, and you have one more weekend to catch Austin theatre icons Judy Arnold, Kia Dawn Fulton, Roderick Sanford, and Janis Stinson for the 'Gospel Down by the Riverside,' segment in the SONGS UNDER THE STARS series.

ZACH Theatre is presenting A Rockin’ Holiday Concert, a socially distanced outdoor holiday concert on The People’s Plaza at ZACH playing December 10 – January 3, 2020. Featuring the vocals of Judy Arnold, CHANEL, Leslie McDonel, Jessica O’Brien, Daniel Rowan, Roderick Sanford, and Kenny Williams.

Spectrum Theatre Company, Austin's leading African-American theatre company, is proud to present 'Living the Legacy: A Tribute to Dr. Billy Harden,' at the Vortex Repertory Theatre, 2307 Manor Road. Once on This Island is a one-act musical with a book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty. Based on the 1985 novel My Love, My Love; or, The Peasant Girl by Rosa Guy, it is set in the French Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean Sea. The show includes elements of the Romeo and Juliet story and elements of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale The Little Mermaid. It concerns a peasant girl on a tropical island, who uses the power of love to bring together people of different social classes. The original Broadway production ran from 1990 to 1991, and the West End production opened in 1994, where it won the 1995 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

The show will run for two weeks at Austin Playhouse beginning today, March 10th to March 20th, Thursday through Sunday of each week, with a bonus performance during the second week on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016.
