DIE: Roll to Proceed opened this week as a part of the WiredArts Fest. Taking place at the Secret Theatre in Queens, WiredArts Fest gives artists, producers and writers access to a global audience. The WiredArts Fest is a live-streamed performing arts festival where the audience is global, seating is unlimited and online viewers can participate in live chat discussions, interact through Twitter and Facebook, while the performance is happening.
After a sold-out run in 2012, the interactive choose your own adventure comedy with 240 possible outcomes DIE: Roll to Proceed will be a part of the WiredArts Fest running from 2/19-3/2 at the Secret Theatre and live-streamed online to a global audience. The WiredArts Fest is a first of its kind live-streamed performing arts festival created along the lines of a Fringe Festival, but online, where the audience is global and seating is unlimited. Online viewers will be able to participate in live chat discussions and interact through Twitter and Facebook all while the performance is happening, giving artists, producers and writers access to global audiences. The festival simultaneously provides worldwide audiences the opportunity to experience New York's vibrant live performing arts scene.

In DIE: Roll to Proceed, the protagonist George, in a moment of self-realization sparked by a recent explosive argument with his girlfriend Kate, decides to revoke his own right to choose the paths his life will take. The interactive "roll-your-own-adventure" dark comedy, developed by Mind The Art Entertainment, is coming home to its birthplace La MaMa E.T.C. this November bigger and better with an expanded team of designers, fuller set, new music, exciting twists and 168 more possible outcomes.
La MaMa has announced that its facilities and theatres will re-open this week after having been closed due to Hurricane Sandy, bringing some much needed life, art and people power back to the East Village neighborhood La MaMa has called home for 50 years. Starting today, La MaMa Galleria (6 E. 1 St.) re-opens its exhibit BRAD GREENWOOD/eat the wolfe. The exhibit is on view each day from 1 to 7:30 p.m. through November 11.
