La Mama E.T.C. in association with Rising Art A.C. Mexico City is set to present Die: Roll to Proceed. The interactive "roll-your-own-adventure" dark comedy, developed by Mind The Art Entertainment, is coming home to its birthplace La Mama E.T.C. this November bigger and better with an expanded team of designers, fuller set, new music, exciting twists and 168 more possible outcomes.

Originally presented as a part of La Mama E.T.C. presents A Mind The Art Anthology in 2010, DIE: Roll to Proceed, which is written by Joe Kurtz and features direction by Christian De Gré, is slated to run from tonight, November 9th through the 18th. The show calls upon audience members to roll a die at crucial plot points; these die rolls then determine the course of the play that evening. This new production will feature several never before seen die rolls, increasing the number of possible outcomes from 72 to 240 (NOTE: since its development, no two shows have ever been the same!).

Imagine if you will a world unencumbered by the stress of decision-making, a world where you never have to wonder if you made the "right" decision. In DIE: Roll to Proceed, the protagonist George, in a moment of self-realization sparked by a recent explosive argument with his girlfriend Kate, decides to revoke his own right to choose the paths his life will take. He stumbles upon a solution to avoid the customary human requirement of making hard and potentially life-changing decisions: a six-sided die.

At pivotal moments in the play, the audience is called upon to break the fourth wall and roll the die on George's behalf. Each number on the die determines a specific path the show can take, and after an audience member rolls, the show proceeds in that direction. With the opportunity for the audience to roll throughout the show, there are 240 twisted ways this story can unfold, and all 240 versions are fully staged and scripted. Thanks to audience participation, George and his reclusive roommate Rob embark on a comical, strange, and seemingly unpredictable journey. Their fate… Your hands… Roll the DIE.

The cast will feature Joe Kurtz, Justin Anselmi, Robb Moreira, David Williams, R. Patrick Alberty, Amanda Kay Schill, Mara Lileas and Jonathan Siregar. The creative team will also include David Williams (Assistant Director), Mara Lileas (Stage Manager), and Designers Christian De Gré, Cora Levin, Sarah Arnold, Elias "Uva" Diaz and Rachel Esterday. Christian De Gré, Ashley C. Williams and Ariana Paganetti will produce for Mind The Art Entertainment with Associate Producers Mikol Dise and Adrian Corral.

DIE: Roll to Proceed will play at La MaMa ETC (74 East 4th Street, New York, NY 10003) from now through November 18, 2012 with performances Fridays & Saturdays at 10pm and Sundays at 5:30pm with a run time between 60-75 minutes (depending on the die rolls.)
