The Chicago premiere of Lyric's new coproduction of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece West Side Story features nearly 100 artists from Chicago and across the country.

After last month's announcement that the Tony Award-winning musical An American in Paris would close on January 1, 2017 at Broadway's Palace Theatre, the musical's producers have just confirmed an earlier closing date.

In celebration of Bastille Day, Tony Award-winning AN AMERICAN IN PARIS director/choreographer Christopher Wheeldon will be featured on Reddit.com's "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) on Thursday, July 14 at 12:00pm EST. Mr. Wheeldon will be standing by on www.Reddit.com and available to answer questions about the hit musical and his body of work in the dance world. The hit musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS is now playing at the Palace Theatre (47th Street and 7th Avenue).

The company of Fun Home was runner-up for turning West Side Story's 'Gee Officer Krumpkee!' into a plea to Miranda to write a show for them. The national tour of the Tony Award Nominated Best Revival of a Musical and smash hit production of Tim Rice's and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA kicks off on September 8th at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI. The national tour of EVITA will star Caroline Bowman (Kinky Boots) as Eva Peron, Tony nominated Josh Young (Jesus Christ Superstar) as Che and Sean MacLaughlin (Woman in White) as Juan Peron. The cast also features Desi Oakley as the alternate for Eva, Christopher Johnstone as Magaldi and Krystina Alabado as the Mistress.
