Jason Tan Liwag

BIO
Jason ‘Jase’ Tan Liwag is a molecular biologist, theater actor, film critic, and educator-in-training currently finishing his Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
His performance as the anxiety-riddled Moritz Stiefel in Spring Awakening (2019) garnered him a 'Best Featured Actor (Musical)' citation in Inquirer's Best of Theater 2019 list and a Philippine LEAF Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Musical (2019) with the cast of the Spring Awakening.
His other roles in Ateneo Blue Repertory include: Pipay Organza in 'Skin-Deep' (2018), Benjamin Coffin III/Ensemble in 'RENT: the Musical' (2018), Jeryc Sans Rival in 'Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady', M1 in 'Stages of Love' (2016), William Morris Barfée in 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee' (2014), and Adam/Ensemble in 'Genesis' (2013). He has also performed for Ateneo ENTABLADO as Prinsipe Anshari in ‘Sandaang Panaginip’ (2015). Apart from this, he’s also a member of the film critics group ‘Cine Critico Filipino’.
