Seared, in association with Theatre 503, today announces the world premiere of Years of Sunlight, a new play by Michael Mclean which opens Lisa Spirling's inaugural season as Artistic Director of Theatre 503.  The production, directed by Amelia Sears, opens on 30 January, with previews from 25 January, and runs until 18 February.

Written by award winning playwright and director Ben Woolf, Angry Young Man tells the story of Yuri, a brilliant Eastern European surgeon who arrives in London in search of work and a new life. Instead he meets Patrick, a young man offering help, friendship and a trip to the heart of the English countryside. But what they find there reveals some cold truths about England. And what Yuri discovers about Patrick forces him to choose between a life in Britain and his honour.

Pleasance Islington is in preparation for the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and to celebrate the vibrant festival atmosphere are presenting a six week Edinburgh preview season, featuring established actors and comedians performing alongside young up-and-coming talent, for only £5 per show.

The show officially opened at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre. The Evening Standard Award-winning production will play 64 performances only, officially closing on May 24th. 'In one of Shakespeare's greatest dramas, Patrick Stewart plays Macbeth - a man utterly determined to obtain the royal crown. Aided by his even more ambitious and ruthless wife, Macbeth murders the king and a comrade only to lose everything by the play's end.
