59E59 Theaters as we kick off the 2009 Brits Off Broadway festival with the US premiere of PIECES, written by Hywel John and directed by Kate Wasserberg.

Jack and Beatrice are twins. They have no cousins. They have no uncles or aunties and no grandparents.
And now they have no Mum and Dad. The one person who can look after them is their godmother Sophie, who arrives shocked and unprepared at their remote family home in the Welsh borders. Sophie has not seen the children since they were tiny: too tiny for them to remember her - and too tiny to remember what caused her long, enforced absence...

Described by The Guardian as "a demonic contemporary fairytale whose psychological surety will leave you in pieces," Hywel John's critically acclaimed debut play, a terrifying fable of loss and revenge, comes to New York direct from Terry Hands' Clwyd Theatr Cymru (Memory, Brits Off Broadway 2007).

Actress Louise Collins, who turned in an extraordinary performance in The Pull of Negative Gravity at Brits 2005, returns to 59E59 Theaters for PIECES. Joining Ms. Collins in the cast are Jennifer Kidd and Steven Meo.
