New Feathers Productions announces their first-ever, all-female theatrical production, WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, NOT TALKING ABOUT MENOPAUSE, set for Thursday, November 11th at the Zlock Performing Arts Center. 

After concluding a thrilling spring music series with Tito Puente Jr. this past June with their Unplugged performance schedule, the Art of Sound now announces their autumn Unplugged entertainment offering just in time to celebrate the upcoming holiday season ahead.  First up, on Thursday, October 24th, Philadelphia's award-winning Jazz vocalist, Ella Gahnt joins for one night only the Eric Mintel Quartet at the Art of Sound!  Together, this sophisticated combination is sure to bring sheer delight to the most discerning of jazz-loving ears & souls!  Weeks following Eric & Ella, comes the unique & cultural pairing of the Alex Hiele Paris Jazz Combo with featured, female vocalist Jackie Jones on Thursday, November 21st.  Miss Jones will be performing Jazz-styled favorites from prolific writers & composers such as Gershwin, Johnny Mercer, Rodgers & Hart and Cole Porter, along with a specially-curated list of contemporary songs. Sit under Bryant Park's London Plane trees and enjoy evening poetry readings throughout the summer! Started in 2005, the Bryant Park Poetry series has created a space dedicated to poetry. Bryant Park Reading Room literary programs have been a conduit for creative writing expression, and that has enabled a dialogue based on diverse perspectives. The Poetry series has the good fortune to be a platform to hear a variety of poetry voices that reflect the community in which we live.

During rehearsals at producer Mandee K. Hammerstein's home in Bucks County, fellow cast members (Clayton Prince & Joey Perillo) from the 1988 original film 'Hairspray', reunite for the first time in 30-years.  Prince ('Seaweed') and Perillo (Security Guard) exchange fond, movie-making memories, while talking future theatrical goals, all in anticipation of working together again on the New Feathers Production Stage this month.  

The Art of Sound is pleased to announce their latest, live-performance artist addition, LINDSEY WEBSTER to their much-applauded return of "Unplugged".  Webster, a truly sultry and soulful, young singer/composer, who has scored two Billboard #1's on the Contemporary Jazz Chart, is the first vocalist in the Contemporary Jazz format to garner a #1 since the iconic SADE!  On Thursday, November 14th, a one-night only performance by Webster is being exclusively offered to only 50 people, tickets are now on sale now at EventBrite.com.

NEW FEATHERS PRODUCTIONS producers, Mandee K. Hammerstein, Greg T. Nanni and new addition to the producing team, John Augustine, proudly announce the selected shorts, cast and director for their upcoming series re-launch November 1 at the James A.
