A Scar is Born, written, directed, and performed by Lorelei Zarifian, will be presented as part of the 2023 FRIGID Fringe Festival at UNDER St. Marks in February.

Kimberley Shoniker, a two-time Leo Award nominee in 2020, is slated to lead a virtual reading of REMIX, presented by 29th Street Playwrights Collective NEW WORKS SERIES on Tuesday, January 26 at 7:30pm on Zoom. Directed by Margie Haber.

(90210) brings the debate over immigration reform and income equality center stage when the production opens tomorrow, Thursday, March 24th at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project (229 West 42nd Street). After highly acclaimed concert performances in 2013, and a sold-out run with LA Opera in January 2015, ¡FIGARO! The League of Composers/ISCM presents The Orchestra of the League of Composers' Season Finale concert tonight, June 11th at 8pm at Miller Theater. Featured on this program will be the world premiere of a commissioned work, A League of Notions, by Morris Rosenzweig and the U.S. premiere of Kaija Saariaho's Leino Songs, her 2008 settings of Eino Leino's poetry, with soprano Heather Buck as soloist.

The Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), the nation's premier orchestra dedicated exclusively to commissioning, performing, and recording new orchestral music, bridges the electro-acoustic divide in its season-opening concert. Spotlighting composers known for their virtuosic writing and electronic transformation of acoustic instruments, BMOP presents the world premiere of Anthony Paul De Ritis's Riflessioni, featuring bassoonist Patrick De Ritis, and the Boston premieres of Ronald Bruce Smith's Constellation and David Felder's Les Quatre Temps Cardinaux, featuring soprano Laura Aikin and bass Ethan Herschenfeld.
