The Wooster Group will present New York performances of their new production of Symphony of Rats, a play by leading American avant-garde playwright Richard Foreman.

The Wooster Group will present the premiere of Get Your Ass in the Water and Swim Like Me, an original work for theater that explores a distinctive genre of Black American storytelling called Toasts.

 Following a sold-out run this fall, The Wooster Group’s new production of Bertolt Brecht’s The Mother, directed by Elizabeth LeCompte, will return to New York for a special limited engagement. Performances will run February 18 to March 12, 2022, at The Performing Garage (33 Wooster Street).

Following its world premiere at Vienna’s prestigious Wiener Festwochen, The Wooster Group’s new production of Bertolt Brecht’s The Mother, directed by Elizabeth LeCompte, will open in New York at The Performing Garage (33 Wooster Street).

The Wooster Group will premiere its new production of Bertolt Brecht’s The Mother at Vienna’s international Wiener Festwochen from June 8-17, 2021. It tells a story of a poor, uneducated Russian mother’s journey to revolutionary action. The play premiered in Berlin in 1932 and was the last of Brecht’s plays to open before the Nazis seized power. 

NYU Skirball will present The Wooster Group's acclaimed A PINK CHAIR (In Place of a Fake Antique), directed by Elizabeth LeCompte, running January 23 a?' February 2, 2020 at NYU Skirball.

Interdisciplinary artist Ryan Conarro (ALAXSXA | ALASKA, this hour forward) will premiere his work Saints of Failure as a site-specific production inside Lafayette Ave Presbyterian Church (85 South Oxford St, Fort Greene, Brooklyn) on October 24, 2019, with additional dates through November 9, 2019. Weaving storytelling, rich soundscape, and live makeup transformations, Conarro shares a series of histories and memories to explore deep questions about LGBTQ identity and the American Christian experience and what ensues when these identities collide.

The Wooster Group will open their newest piece, A PINK CHAIR (In Place of a Fake Antique) at The Performing Garage (33 Wooster Street) in New York City, with performances from April 28 through May 19, with press opening on Wednesday, May 9. The production will come to New York following a run in Los Angeles at The Roy and Edna Disney/CALARTS Theater from April 5-15, 2018.

The Drama League has announced its 2017 UpClose and Rough Draft Series, to be held at The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas) in Tribeca.

THE TOWN HALL AFFAIR, The Wooster Group's newest production, is based on Chris Hegedus and D.A. Pennebaker's film Town Bloody Hall, which documents a rowdy 1971 debate on Women's Liberation at Town Hall in New York City.
