For their inaugural offering, Great Circle Productions, bringing to life projects that inspire, offer hope, and touch the human heart, presents the world premiere of EDWIN, The Story of Edwin Booth, a dramatic musical that commemorates the 150th Anniversary (1866-2016) of the legendary actor's return to the stage, as well as the 400th Anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare (1564-1616), with music by Marianna Rosett, and book & lyrics by Eric Swanson.

Eligibility and award category designations for the productions under consideration this season were determined by the Drama Desk board of directors with recommendations from the nominating committee. Because of the abundance of great work throughout the season, the Board also authorized the increase in the number of nominees allowed in select categories.

Academy Award winners Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez ('Let It Go' from Frozen) and two-time Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee Fran Drescher (Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella; 'The Nanny') will announce the nominations for the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at 54 Below (254 W. 54th Street), it was announced today by Gretchen Shugart, CEO of TheaterMania.com and Isa Goldberg, Drama Desk President.

The 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 8:00 PM at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street), it was announced today. Shugart is the Managing Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards. Joey Parnes Productions will produce and manage the show.

Fordham University Theatre Company, together with INTAR Theatre, presents the New York stage debut of Cuban-American playwright and director Maria Irene Fornes' 'What of the Night?' at Pope Theatre (113 W. 60th St. & Columbus Ave. at Lincoln Center) until tomorrow, October 11 at 8 p.m.

Performances for the West Coast premiere of two-time Obie Award-winning actor/director/playwright Matthew Maguire's new solo show, Wild Man in Rome, begin tonight at the Son of Semele Ensemble (3301 Beverly Boulevard). Wild Man in Rome will run for three performances only through December 1, and will be a special benefit production for the Son of Semele Ensemble. Wild Man in Rome is a follow-up to Maguire's smash hit solo show, Wild Man, which premiered at The Wild Project in 2010.

Performances for two-time Obie Award-winning actor/director/playwright Matthew Maguire's new solo show, Wild Man in Rome, begin tonight at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street). Wild Man in Rome will run for a strictly limited two-week engagement through November 24. Wild Man in Rome is a follow-up to Maguire's smash hit solo show, Wild Man, which premiered at The Wild Project in 2010.
