Carolyn Marie Wright BIO
Originally from upstate New York, Carolyn now lives in Phoenix where she is Theatre Program Director and English Faculty at Brophy College Preparatory, an inaugural member of the Arizona Theatre Company Cohort Club, a coach and performer at The Torch Theatre, and a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA, and AATE.
From 2018-2019, she served as Director of Education & Outreach during Valley Youth Theatre's 30th anniversary season and directed the award-winning production of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. Previously, she spent ten years in Los Angeles where she worked with a myriad of theater companies and arts organizations, including Geffen Playhouse, A Noise Within, Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, Young Storytellers Foundation, The Story Pirates, and, her comedy home, The Second City Hollywood.
Professional highlights include: #Right2Recess with Humanity Play Project (winner Best Children's Show at NoHo Fringe Festival 2017); Topanga Rose (nominated Best Faith Film at Burbank Film Festival 2016); Wini + George with Katharine Ross (winner Audience Award at LA OutFest 2013); The Best of Second City; This is Not a Tan and There Will Be Snacks at Comedy Central Stage; BioShock video game.
Graduate of The Second City, Yale (BA), NYU Steinhardt (MA), and UCLA (MFA).

New Streaming Game Show QUARAN-TEAMS Announced
Game show/artist showcase/charity fundraiser QUARAN-TEAMS 2.0 focuses on local artists and charities. The live stream episodes on Facebook and YouTube are Mondays, February 8th, 22nd, and March 8th at 7:00 p.m. MDT, with content available to view asychronously, and preview content already in place.
VYT's THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA Opens Next Friday
Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) opens the fourth production in the theatre's 31st anniversary season, The Princess and the Pea, on Friday, February 7, at Valley Youth Theatre, 525 N 1st Street, in Downtown Phoenix. This production runs through February 23 and marks the sixth time VYT has produced this play. Other seasons that included it were 1992, 1996, 2001, 2007 and 2013.

Congratulation to VYT, Dwayne Hartford and Bobb Cooper for continuing to be progressive leaders in youth theatre and for refusing to shy away from difficult or mature topics.
