BWW Review: Come Fly with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre at Charming BOEING BOEING


With a grand Alexander Calder like mobile hanging over the Cabot Stage when the audience enters the theater, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) opens their 2015-2016 season with the modern French farce Boeing, Boeing. Marc Camoletti's 1960 play won a 2008 Tony Award for Best Revival in New York and throughly delighted the Cabot Theatre audiences at the Broadway Theatre Center on opening weekend.

Duplicity Ensemble to Premiere FOLK BOUND as Inaugural Production


Duplicity Ensemble presents the world premiere of Anne Walaszek's Folk Bound, the story of a young woman's trek through a world made up of folk stories. Beginning with a telegram from a bird, Lucy senses that something has gone terribly wrong. She sets out on a great journey to return to her mother, only to find that things are worse than she could possibly have imagined. Filled with original music by composer Pamela Maurer (a.k.a Baby Money) and choreography by Annaleah Tubbin, the story follows Lucy on her quest for home, wherever and whatever that may be.

The Building Stage Announces DAWN, QUIXOTE, Opening 3/22


The Building Stage's Founder and Artistic Director Blake Montgomery announces that the world premiere of Dawn, Quixote, conceived and directed by Montgomery, at The Building Stage, 412 N. Carpenter Street in Chicago's West Loop, March 22 - April 27 will be the final production for The Building Stage. Previews are Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 24 at 4 p.m. Opening/press night is Monday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursday - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Tickets for the previews are students/children: $5, adults: $15 and for the regular run, students/children: $15/$20 and adults: $25/$30. Milwaukee Chamber Theatre to Present BUS STOP, 4/12-4/29


Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) presents the classic romantic comedy BUS STOP by William Inge, April 12-29, 2012. The production will be a collaborative venture with the University of Wisconsin - Parkside (UWP) theatre department with at least 25 students and faculty serving as actors, designers and production personnel. BUS STOP performs in the Broadway Theatre Center's Cabot Theatre in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.
