Amanda Forman is an actor, playwright, and educator originally from Iowa City, IA. They received their BFA in Acting from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Since moving to Chicago Amanda has performed with several companies including Oak Park Festival Theatre, Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, The Side Project Theatre, Clock Theatre, Pride Films and Plays, and Imagination Theater. Amanda is a company member with 20% Theatre Company: Chicago. Their plays have premiered throughout Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, and California.

Midsommer Flight Announces 2018 Season


Midsommer Flight will expand programming in its 2018 season to include a free TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA in the parks this summer, special staged reading of RICHARD III in spring and the holiday perennial TWELFTH NIGHT. Midsommer Flight, the professional not-for-profit theatre company that has been bringing free Shakespeare to Chicago parks since 2012, will expand its programming from two to three productions for its 2018 season. Founding Artistic Director Beth Wolf made the announcement today.

Pride Films and Plays changes lives through the generation of diverse new work (or work that is new to Chicago) with LGBTQ+ characters or themes that is essential viewing for all audiences. We accomplish this mission through fully-staged productions, writing contests and staged readings, film screenings, and special events. We foster long term relationships with artists to create programming that is as diverse, unique, and complex as the community we represent. In 2015, Huffington Post called PFP "A powerful and empowering entity." The company acquired its two performance spaces at 4139 and 4147 N. Broadway in July 2016, renaming the spaces the Pride Arts Center.
