Vital Theatre Company has announced the acquisition of the rights to the new children's picture book 'Myra and the Drawing Drama', written by Rosemary Rivera and illustrated by Mario Menjivar, for the creation a new family musical with Book and Lyrics by Jeremy Dobrish and Music and Lyrics by David Mallamud which will debut in Vital Theatre Company's 2022-2023 Season.

THE EIGHT: REINDEER MONOLOGUES, a very dark Christmas comedy written by Jeff Goode and well suited for the 'Me too' era, is slated for a limited engagement Off-Broadway run this holiday season, Wednesday, December 12th - Thursday, January 3rd at St. Luke's Theater. The production is directed by Andrew Benvenuti and being produced by Sara Laursen and The Drama Club NYC, a newly formed arts organization that comes right out the gate staging a piece that LA Weekly describes as a 'hilarious and intelligent middle finger to all the candy-coated commercialism of the yuletide season.'

Aimee Todoroff and Tonya Pinkins direct. The evening of one-act works include Trifles by Susan Glaspell (1916), Exit: An Illusion by Marita Bonner (1929), and The People by Susan Glaspell (1918). Directed by Michael Criscuolo and featuring actors, Fix Number Six tells of Jane, a travel agent whose career is going nowhere. Hounded by an idiot boss, she dreams of pursuing her true calling as an international spy. When her rich, lovesick customer wants to hire Jane to "fix" his life with whatever tawdry subterfuge is necessary, she jumps at the chance.
