Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with the following acts:

Sultry songstress  Abigail Rockwell debuts her Autumn Noir show at Birdland Theater - Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 7 pm. Rockwell's voice has been compared to Morgana King and Julie London, her new album described by Chris Spector of Midwest Record as 'wonderfully out of the ordinary due solely to her interpretive skills and style, Autumn Noir is the high water mark for all vocalists to come to follow'. David Kenney of WBAI 99.5 FM's Everything Old Is New Again Radio Show in New York selected Autumn Noir as one of his top holiday picks of 2018. Rockwell first began performing at the Four Seasons Resort - The Biltmore in Montecito, CA, she premiered in Los Angeles at Tar Pit, opened by Top Chef Mark Peel. She then made it back east and had her New York City debut at the celebrated Metropolitan Room.

Abigail Rockwell's first album as a singer/songwriter, AUTUMN NOIR, is set to be released 10/10.

Superb voice blends with sublimed guitar when Abigail Rockwell (Rock) and Sean Harkness (Hark) present their premiere duo concert on Wednesday, February 17 at 10 pm at Rockwood Music Hall (196 Allen St, New York, NY). Harkness, a veteran, versatile, and exciting guitarist combines forces with Rockwell (granddaughter of American illustrator Norman Rockwell), who made her successful NYC jazz debut in 2015 after performing out west at various spots, including the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara and Tar Pit in Los Angeles.

For the past 13 years, Jim Caruso's Cast Party has been the place for Broadway, jazz and cabaret performers to celebrate and entertain each other. This past month, an astonishingly wide variety of talent passed through the Birdland doors, and we thought you might like to see proof that 'you never know who will show up at Cast Party!' Jazz singer/songwriter Abigail Rockwell, granddaughter of beloved American illustrator Norman Rockwell, will continue her New York cabaret debut on Thursday, September 3rd at 7 pm at the Metropolitan Room in "Bring In The Spring!".  Her first show was in late April and now she returns this fall with two more shows.  Ms. Rockwell will take the stage to share her songs - an eclectic mix of standards and original compositions - and her story after a long battle for truth contending with the recent fraudulent biography of her grandfather.  Sean Harkness, her musical director, will accompany her on guitar.  The show is directed by Bill Castellino.

At Birdland this past week, Jim Caruso's Cast Party was a jam-packed, sold-out crazy-quilt of talent. The weekly 'extreme' open mic night was the place to hear Broadway tunes, jazz standards, an Italian pop tune, a Beyonce hit, the blues, and a few original tunes that defied description.
