Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre (Artistic Director Kira Simring) has announced their 2023 season, featuring a year of full productions, art exhibitions, developmental workshops, and over 30 resident artists.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre and off the WALL productions in Pittsburgh are presenting the World Premiere of WHAT KIND OF WOMAN by Abbe Tanenbaum. While working as a personal organizer, Tanenbaum and her client uncovered 20 letters from women seeking abortions in the early 1970’s.

With performances beginning April 23rd, Nancy Manocherian’s the cell theatre and Nightclub Cantata LLC, by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals, will present  Elizabeth Swados’ 1977 breakout sensation Nightclub Cantata, a provocative, eclectic and heralded theatrical creation rarely seen since its inception decades ago.

The New York Music Theater Festival can easily be considered a harbor for the freshest talents in musical theater. Over a period of several weeks, an astonishing number of musical productions are presented on vest pocket stages throughout New York City. As is often the case with harbors, there is a confluence of talent feeding into it. Opening on July 23rd at 8:00 p.m. in the DeWitt Main Theatre is The Last Night of Ballyhoo by Alfred Uhry, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Driving Miss Daisy. The Last Night of Ballyhoo was also the winner of the 1997 Tony Award for Best Play.
