Roots and Realism: A Haitian Artist's Reminiscence features the works of Haitian-American artist Sophia Lacroix, showcasing her hyper-realistic paintings and intimate portraits that celebrate Haitian culture. The exhibition runs from April 18 to June 21, 2025, at The Ali Cultural Center in Pompano Beach, coinciding with Haitian Heritage Month. Lacroix draws from her experiences growing up in Haiti, capturing the vibrancy, resilience, and emotions of everyday life through her stunning art. The exhibition will include an Artist's Talk, allowing attendees to connect more deeply with Lacroix’s compelling storytelling.
