Tsunami: Waves of Displacement is a mixed-media exhibition by Tracy Ann Simmonds, opening February 1, 2026, at Bailey Contemporary Arts in Pompano Beach. This series features 36 paintings made from recycled materials that confront themes of identity, mental health, and the complexities of Caribbean heritage, inspired by the artist's reflections during the pandemic. Simmonds, a photographer and author, uses her art to address collective trauma and environmental issues, creating a space for cultural dialogue and healing. The exhibition is part of a month-long celebration of Black History Month, highlighting the contributions of African Americans and Black people worldwide.
