The Exit 36 Slam Poetry Festival returns for its eighth year from December 11 to 13, 2025, at the Ali Cultural Center and the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. This three-day event showcases 40 competing poets along with performances, workshops, and artist discussions, highlighting the vibrant spoken word scene of South Florida. The festival offers a total of $9,500 in prizes and aims to elevate diverse voices from across the nation and internationally. Notably, Sharonda “Eccentrich” Richardson, a celebrated spoken word artist and festival founder, has been recognized for her contributions to the poetry community.
