Told through dance & original music, Falling Fast is a story of a woman and man meeting at two opposing moments in their lives. A broken woman recovering from loss & heartbreak meets a man seemingly ready for love. Throughout the story, we watch as the woman rises from her inner suffering while the man falls out of his mind. The catalyst of this descension are his mental health struggles, depicted by dark energy throughout the show. The show demonstrates a fall in love, a fall out of love, and ultimately a fall out of life. While the female finds strength, the male counterpart loses his. While the female finds her light, the male is slowly submerged into uncontrollable darkness. And while the female rises from her tragic past, the male falls to find his own tragic story just beginning. Falling Fast encapsulates the epidemic of mental health struggles within males, and their attempts to remain stoic and refuse help. In Falling Fast, this occurs at the expense of a promising love story.
