Winter Park Playhouse Produces Jerry Herman Musical Revue

The popularity of Jerry Herman's hit Broadway shows, along with the availability of a fabulous professional cast to perform his work, helped The Winter Park Playhouse decide to run Showtune! A Celebration of the Words and Music of Jerry Herman this spring, March 18 - April 23. The wonderful Playhouse production of the hilarious Broadway musical comedy, I Love My Wife, will be shifted to the "Sizzling Summer" slot July - August, 2016.

"When we recently discovered this musical, we wanted to offer it to Central Florida audiences sooner rather than later. The timing for the stellar cast worked out perfectly so we made the switch. We look forward to now offering both of these great musicals that we know our audiences will love!"states Roy Alan, Playhouse Artistic Director.

Showtune! is an Off-Broadway musical review of the well-loved music and words of the great Jerry Herman. The show includes music from hit Broadway musicals such as Hello Dolly, Mame, La Cage aux Folles, Mack and Mabel, and more! The stellar professional cast includes Priscilla Bagley, Michael Colavolpe, Kayla Kelsey Morales and Ben Ptashinsky plus newcomers Joshua Kolb, and Kelly Morris-Rowan.

Ticket prices are $40 evenings, $36 Senior evenings, $30 matinees, $15 student and industry professionals. Student rush "$10@10" offers $10 tickets (for students 25 years and younger) 10 minutes prior to a performance when seats are available. Preview performance is $20.

The challenge: bring order to the whole.” These words begin Stephen Sondheim’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE – an exploration of the passion and beauty found in creativity and art as told through the fictionalized eyes of the artist Georges Seurat. In mounting this rarely produced musical as the close to its 58th season, Titusville Playhouse gloriously captures the emotion, the urgency, the relevance, and the importance of this Sondheim classic and delivers it flawlessly.
