The Abbey Adds Jennica McCleary, Tod Kimbro & More to Monday Night Cabaret Series

By:

The Abbey has announced additional acts that will be joining the Monday Night Cabaret Series. Jennica McCleary will take the Abbey stage on November 3, followed by local stars Tod Kimbro and Carol Lee/Matthew Arter. Tickets to each cabaret show are just $10 and can be purchased at TicketWeb.com.

On November 3rd at 8pm, join Jennica McCleary for her cabaret Jennica McCleary: Underage Senior Citizen. This young ingénue explores her inner old-school diva. Recently seen in the Garden Theatre's Sweeney Todd, she takes the stage and casts aside her Johanna for the likes of Merman and Midler.

On November 10 at 8 p.m., acclaimed Renaissance man and local star Tod Kimbro debuts his cabaret Tod Kimbro: Closet Broadway Star. Many have seen local Fringe Festival celebrity Tod Kimbro bust out Elton John, Queen and David Bowie, along with his glam-rock originals, but Tod was also once a shy, Sondheim-loving musical theater enthusiast. In his brand new cabaret, Tod reconciles his out and proud rocker voice with his secretly jazzy hands. Classic Broadway and classic rock merge, with some previously unheard original show tunes.

Join Matthew Arter and his larger-than-life alter ego Miss Carol Lee on November 17 at 8 p.m. for You've Caught Me Again!, an opportunity to experience through music what it's like for two people - one an agoraphobic wallflower and the other a legend in her own mind - to inhabit the same brain.
