Local actors Elaitheia Quinn and Barry Wright will star alongside the theater's resident ensemble cast members Megan Raitano and Allan Whitehead in David Auburn's 2000 drama Proof. Directed by Marco DiGeorge, Proof will play for a limited run from March 9-31, 2018 at the emerging Theater On The Edge.

Proof is a 2000 play by the American playwright David Auburn, and was developed at George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey, during the 1999 Next Stage Series of new plays. Proof premiered Off-Broadway in May 2000, and transferred to Broadway in October 2000. The play won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play.

On the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday, Catherine (Megan Raitano), a troubled young woman, has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father (Allan Whitehead), a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire (Elaitheia Quinn); and the attentions of Hal (Barry Wright), a former student of her father's who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind.

Over the long weekend that follows, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into the most difficult problem of all: How much of her father's madness-or genius-will she inherit?

Theater On The Edge is known for its hyper-realistic set design and in-depth performances, and received must acclaim for its previous productions of American Buffalo, Tape, Superior Donuts, and most recently, Orphans. Theater On The Edge was also awarded Orlando's Best New Theater Company of 2017 by Orlando Weekly's Best of 2017 Awards, and mentioned for Best Overall Production for 2017 for Orphans by the Orlando Sentinel.

Allan Whitehead says, "Theatre On The Edge is a special place. It could be the intimate, detailed setting, the extreme devotion of the entire crew, the blood, sweat and tears of my fellow actors... but every day magic happens; amazing happens; life happens!"

Marco DiGeorge, who is also Theater On The Edge's Artistic Director, as well as co-Founder of Truthful Acting Studios, says, "What an incredible experience it has been to work with these amazing hard-working actors, striving to bring the depth needed for a story like this one."

Tickets on sale now at www.TheaterOnTheEdge.org and prices range from $18 to $26.

MEGAN RAITANO is an ensemble member at Theater On The Edge and is thrilled to be back onstage with her resident company! Working on Proof alongside Allan, Elaitheia, and Barry has been an incredibly rewarding experience for her, and getting to experience the magic that is Marco's direction has been a dream come true. She would like to thank Robb and Marco, Sam, our amazing cast and crew, her classmates, her unbelievably supportive family and friends, especially Jane and Tony Raitano, Nick Roberts and Laura McCann, and YOU for supporting local actors and theaters.

Allan Whitehead is an ensemble member at Theater On The Edge and is a happy man. This is his fourth show at TOTE, also appearing as Don in American Buffalo in fall 2016, as Arthur in Superior Donuts in summer 2017, and as Harold in Orphans in fall 2017. He loves this theatre and is humbled to be working with such a dedicated group of artists and friends. He would like to thank the cast, crew and creative team for their tireless efforts. He would also like to thank his family, especially Maria, for their unwavering support of this later-in-life endeavor.

Marco DiGeorge has a love for teaching and the arts which has led him to the various endeavors he is involved with today, including Co-Founder and Teacher at Truthful Acting Studios, Adjunct Professor with the UCF Film Program, Producer at Doctrine Creative, Podcast Host, and one of the founding members and Artistic Director of Theater On The Edge. After an amazing experience producing the first season with American Buffalo, TAPE, and Superior Donuts, Marco is ready to bring his high-level of passion to directorial follow-up to Orphans. Marco also enjoys working side-by-side with his amazing wife, Samantha, and the rest of the passionate ensemble theater team.

SAMANTHA DIGEORGE has a deep love for creativity and design, and this has propelled her into her passion as Set Designer for Theater On The Edge, where she is also one of the founding members. Sam has a passion for transforming and repurposing anything and everything artistic that she can get her hands on, and she received much acclaim for her hyper-realistic 1975 junk shop set she created for American Buffalo, her seedy 1999 motel room for TAPE, her aged Chicago donut shop for Superior Donuts, and her 1989 run-down north Philadelphia row house for Orphans. She is grateful to be a part of such a creative team and working alongside her husband Marco. In addition, Sam also works for Truthful Acting Studios as Director of Operations, where she takes care of all business operations.
