Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF presents The True Story of the Three Little Pigs from today, March 27 - April 27, 2014. Based on the popular book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs features script and lyrics by Robert Kauzlaric, and music by Paul Gilvary and William Rush. Directed by Steve MacKinnon, the production is presented in the Margeson Theater. Tickets ($9 and $12) are on sale now, and can be purchased by calling (407) 447-1700, online at www.orlandoshakes.org, or in person at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 East Rollins St.

Orlando Shakes' The True Story of the Three Little Pigs offers audiences the opportunity to hear the wolf's side of the story in this dynamite rock musical for the entire family. Alexander T. Wolf (aka the Big Bad Wolf) is accused of deplorable crimes. Facing a jury of his piggy peers and a tough-as-nails judge with a weakness for musical theater, can the Wolf ever hope for a fair trial? The audience decides the ending of this play - guilty or not guilty?

"We're so excited to share this hilarious take on an old favorite," said Director of Education Anne Hering. "Clever songs and snappy dialogue make The True Story of the Three Little Pigs enjoyable for all ages!"

Before the show, Orlando Shakes invites audiences to join members of the cast for interactive pre-show fun for the whole family. An autograph session will take place after each weekend performance.

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs features actors Sophie Bell, Bridgette Hoover, Chris Metz, Jeffrey Todd Parrott, and Seth Wallen. The Orlando Shakes artistic team includes Director/Musical Director Steve MacKinnon, Choreographer Kim Ball, Set Designer Stephen Ricker, Lighting Designer Mary Heffernan, Costume Designer Mel Barger, and Sound Designer Britt Sandusky.
