Mad Cow Theatre to Stage AVENUE Q This Summer

Mad Cow Theatre is delighted to announce the cast and creative team for the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q, which will bring naughty puppets to the Harriett stage June 3, 2016 as the seventh production of Mad Cow Theatre's Season 19. The production is sponsored by Watermark and Harriett Lake.
Taking on the lessons of life without fluff, the colorful characters who live on AVENUE Q advise their new college-grad friend Princeton on everything from getting a job and finding an apartment to hangovers and internet porn. With unforgettable numbers such as "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist," "If You Were Gay," and "What Do You Do with a B.A. in English?" the Q puppets will have theatergoers rolling in the aisles and coming back for more. The little off-Broadway puppet musical went on to win Broadway's biggest awards, AVENUE Q was conceived by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, who wrote the music and lyrics. Jeff Whitty wrote the book. The underdog of its Broadway season won three Tony Awards, including the all-important award for best musical. Whitty won the Tony for best book of a musical, and Lopez and Marx won for best original score.
