GODSPELL Plays the Van Wezel Tonight

By:

Godspell comes to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall tonight, January 15, 2014. However, over 40 years ago, Godspell, made its Broadway debut, and became so popular that one of its songs, "Day by Day," became a Billboard Top 20 hit!

With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and conceived by John-Michael Tebelak, it's not hard to believe its rise to international acclaim. The classic rock based musical revolves around a series of parables that are reflections of the stories found in the Gospel of Matthew.

The current version is the twelfth production over the 43 years of the show's existence, and it not only does the original justice, but builds upon it with fresh talent and modern set design! Featuring other classic hits like "Save the People," "Learn Your Lessons Well," and "By My Side," this blockbuster continues to rock!

Tickets are priced from $40-$60. For more information, call the Box Office at 941-953-3368 or visit www.VanWezel.org.
