After a laughter-filled hit winter season, FST Improv returns for a special spring fling run of "April Fools." This hilarious series will feature a no fools barred smack down, culminating in the crowning of the "fool of fools." The comedy begins on Saturday, April 13th for a limited engagement continuing Fridays and Saturdays April 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 8:30 pm in the new John C. Court Cabaret.

In "April Fools," the troupe from FST Improv will take audience suggestion to an all new level. Two teams will duke it out in the high-energy competition where the audience gets to vote for the ultimate prize: the crowning of the fool of fools. Plus, each improv member has the opportunity to challenge their fellow cast members to a battle of laughs. Get ready for a knock-down drag out battle of wits where there's only one guarantee: no matter who loses, the audience wins.

"We first created this show as a special one night only event in 2010," said Rebecca Hopkins, FST Improv director and MC. "It sold out fast and the audience loved it. We have wanted to bring it back, but it hasn't fit our schedule. So when the opportunity arose we thought we would help shake down the Court Cabaret with a laugh-off. It's the perfect show for spring fling."

The FST Improv cast includes Adam Ratner, Christine Alexander, Tim Beasley, Angel M. Parker, Darryl Knapp, Steve Turrisi, Chris Friday, Catey Brennan and Jim Prosser on the piano. All will be returning in April to try to take the crown.

FST Improv: April Fools performances will begin April 13, 2013 and run for a limited engagement through April 27, 2013 in FST's John C. Court Cabaret. Tickets are $12 per person and may be purchased from the FST Box Office in person, by phone at (941) 366-9000 or online at www.FloridaStudioTheatre.org. FST is located in historic downtown Sarasota at 1241 North Palm Avenue, Downtown Sarasota.
