Dandy Darkly is New York City's cult, cabaret sensation; a painted and pontificating performance artist with a masterful and mesmerizing style of immersive storytelling that has astounded critics and delighted audiences at Fringe festivals and theaters across the globe. Dandy's thrilled to mark his Florida debut with back-to-back performances of his critically acclaimed solo show, Dandy Darkly's Myth Mouth!, at the Tampa International Fringe Festival (May 12-14) and the Orlando Fringe Festival (May 18-28).

Dandy Darkly is the glittery, ghastly jewel of NYC's East Village and the Edinburgh Fringe with four years running of award-winning, satirical solo shows tackling such varied topics as gun violence, misogyny, gentrification and political correctness. Dandy's delirious delivery shifts seamlessly between the hilarious and horrific alongside surprisingly poignant critiques on modern life.

Dandy Darkly's Myth Mouth! explores themes of religion, addiction and social media obsession via cosmic tales concerning a junkie Persephone, Russian space-pup Laika, virtual reality fixation and humanity's premiere popinjay, Cha-Cha the Caveman.

Dandy regales his wondrous tales of humanity and horror alongside a nonstop soundscape of prerecorded music composed by long time collaborators Adam Tendler (piano), Rachel Blumberg (percussion), and Bryce Edwards (bass guitar). The show is peppered with eclectic sound effects to create a truly immersive storytelling experience. Ian Bjorklund returns as director.

Dandy Darkly cites the works of folklorist Joseph Campbell, recent celebrity deaths, his childhood love of mythology and personal struggles with substance abuse as powerful influences for crafting Dandy Darkly's Myth Mouth!
